Carers Week 2020 - Making Care Visible

Carers Week runs from 8 to 16 June and is an annual campaign to raise awareness of caring. It is an opportunity to highlight the challenges carers face and recognise the contribution they make to families and communities throughout the UK. This years theme is 'Making Care Visible'.

What's available?

The Charity for Civil Servants is offering two webinars next week to support this campaign.

8 June 11am - 12pm 'Making Care Visible'

Making Care Visible will be hosted by Head of Caring & Health Services, Linda Eades and she'll be joined by representatives from Carers UK and Employers for Carers. This webinar will explore the support available from the Charity and how carers are supported at work.

10 June 11am - 12pm 'Dementia and the Acute Hospital'

Dr Emily Oliver, RMN, PhD Consultant Admiral Nurse, will outline the dementia pathway during an admission to hospital, exploring common barriers to a good hospital experience and identifying resources and interventions that can help to improve this.

Beyond Carer's Week, on 8 July, the Charity is holding another webinar relating to Dementia and End of Life Care.
