The NI Cyber Security Centre (NICSC) has published details of its upcoming series of events for Cyber Security Awareness Month.

Cyber Month is an annual event held globally every October. The NI Cyber Security Centre, working with a number of partner organisations have put together an extensive programme of events for citizens, businesses and public sector organisations.

Throughout October the aim is to provide up-to-date online security information through awareness-raising and sharing of good practices on the importance of being cyber secure.

While events are open to all, the month has been structured to have something for everyone with each day having a particular themed focus.

  • Monday - Small business and voluntary and community sector
  • Tuesday - Medium to large organisations - Management focus
  • Wednesday - Medium to large organisations - Technical focus
  • Thursday - Citizen events
  • Friday -  Various technical talks

The topics to be covered are wide and varied; from guidance on Cloud strategy; to mitigating the risks of ransomware; to information on Cyber Insurance.

The NICSC continues to play a prominent role in working to make Northern Ireland cyber safe, secure and resilient for its citizens and businesses and the upcoming events go hand in hand with the delivery of the NI Cyber Strategy - A Strategic Framework for Action.
