Go ON NI Spring Online Week 19-24 April 2021

A transformed Spring Online Week is launched by Go ON NI during the pandemic.

Given the current Covid-19 restrictions, many Go ON NI training sessions have been postponed until further notice and unfortunately the Go ON NI Team have not been able to put together their usual range of exciting Spring Online Week events and roadshows which have proved to be so popular with people of all ages in previous years. The good news, however, is that the Go ON NI programme continues and our partners at Libraries NI and Supporting Communities are still delivering a series of online Zoom training sessions which have been designed to help people get more of ‘getting online’. These short sessions – usually lasting less an hour - will run throughout the week 19-24 April 2021 and cover a range of interesting topics, such as using Alexa; finding out more about online video calls and Instagram; learning about online banking and knowing how to watch out for potential scams.

Get involved

All in all, there will be something for everyone and it couldn't be easier to join in one or more of these Zoom sessions by logging on to the Go ON NI Events page. Simply follow the links to book your place now!

Also don't forget, if you or someone that you know are already able to get online but might still be having some difficulties with it, volunteers from our Digital Help scheme might be able to assist. Anyone can simply text the word DIGITALHELP (one word) to 67300* with a brief description of what help is required and a volunteer will phone within 48 hours with free, helpful advice on topics such as online video calling; staying safe online; social media; and computer settings.

With these changing times, the Go ON NI programme is continuously looking at how to implement innovative solutions to help those most digitally excluded in NI get online and enjoy all of the associated benefits.
