Description

Lessons are routinely extracted from the final reports of Gateway, and other assurance, reviews. These lessons are published regularly online to assist and support people working on programmes and projects.

Description

The key lessons learned from the implementation of the Local Government Reform Programme, on of the largest and most complex programmes of work to be implemented in NI in recent years have been published.

Description

The NI Assembly Public Accounts Committee First Thematic Report was published in June 2010 and is available from the NI Assembly Archive. It contains a summary of project management shortcomings identified between 2007 and 2010.

DFP Oversight Board for Civil Service Reform and Centre of Expertise for Programme and Project Management

Description

A detailed study of lessons learned in the NI public sector was carried out in September 2008. Key lessons were compared to lifecycle points in the Gateway process to produce a senior management checklist.
