UK National Reform Programme (NRP)

Each year, member states submit NRPs as part of the European semester.

Most recent NRP

The UK submitted its 2018 NRP on 30 April 2018.

It draws on publicly available information and sets out the UK’s economic prospects and plans. It includes:

  • the macroeconomic context in the UK, consistent with the UK’s 2017/2018 Convergence Programme
  • actions taken to address the three country-specific recommendations addressed to the UK by the European Council in July 2017
  • the UK’s approach to national monitoring and actions taken in support of the five headline Europe 2020 targets agreed by the European Council in June 2010.

The 2018 NRP draws on publicly available information, including the Autumn Budget 2017, the Spring Statement 2018 and other relevant documents and announcements.

The NRP itself sets out major structural reform actions. Further details are available in the original documents, which are referenced throughout.

The Programme includes several contributions showing the policies being implemented by the Executive in Northern Ireland.
