Group Internal Audit and Fraud Investigation (GIAFIS) Internal Audit Privacy Information Statement

GIAFIS, a directorate within the Department of Finance, is responsible for providing a professional Internal Audit Service to NICS Departments and their sponsored bodies (where appropriate).

GIAFIS is also responsible for providing NICS departments and other public bodies with a professional fraud investigation service which complies with the necessary legislative framework, professional standards and recognised best practice.

GIAFIS comprises the following:

• Group Internal Audit Service (GIAS)
• Group Fraud Investigation Service (GFIS)
