EPN 02/2012 A - DFP response to consultation on increased employee contributions

The purpose of this EPN is to:
- notify employers and staff of the publication of the Department of Finance and Personnel response to the consultation on proposed increases to employee contribution rates for the Principal Civil Service pension scheme (Northern Ireland) for year 2012-13;
- announce the increases in contribution rates that will apply for 2012-13 for employees who are members of the Principal Civil Service Pension Scheme (Northern Ireland);
- provide employers with details on the payroll specification for the contribution increases - for information only;
- inform employers that the attached Employees Pension Notice will be added to the HRConnect portal to provide an update for staff; and
- advise employers that Civil Service Pensions will arrange for staff covered by the IT Assist or DOI networks to receive the notice.
