The purpose of this EPN is to:
- inform employers of the removal of the pensions information from the Candidate Information Booklet (see paragraph 4 of this EPN) for use for staff appointed on or after 1 April 2013;
- inform employers that the revised pension text, attached at Annex A, should be included in letters of appointment for staff appointed on or after their Automatic Enrolment staging date;
- inform employers of changes to the Pensions Questionnaire, attached at Annex B, for staff appointed on or after their Automatic Enrolment staging date; and
- inform employers that the procedural guidance for handling staff whose employment begins on or after their automatic enrolment staging date is attached at Annex C.
