PGN 01/13: Integrating Social Considerations into Contracts

Procurement Guidance Note (PGN 01/13) - it is widely acknowledged that public procurement can contribute positively to the delivery of greater equality and social inclusion as well as broader sustainability goals.

Construction & Procurement Delivery (CPD) has piloted the use of social clauses in helping the unemployed and has developed a range of typical contract performance clauses for use by the Centres of Procurement Expertise(CoPEs).

This guidance has been revised to make reference to the Public Contracts Regulations 2015.
