Finance Minister Máirtín Ó Muilleoir has rejected comments by the Deputy chair of the Assembly’s Finance Committee Claire Hanna MLA regarding today’s June Monitoring Statement.
The Minister said: “Ms Hanna’s reaction to the June Monitoring Statement is inaccurate.
“If she had read to the end of the statement she would have realised that there is no discrepancy. Rather there is a planned and prudent over commitment that the Executive has agreed, made up of a £13.5 million Resource DEL and £11.4 million capital DEL allocation. This was clearly explained on page 10 of the statement.”
