  • Civil Service launches new “Neurodiversity Line Manager's Toolkit” as part of Autism Awareness Month

    Neurodivergent colleagues are an important part of the Civil Service workforce and bring a wide range of valuable skills and talents to our workplace. To help embed a neuro-inclusive workplace culture and in support of the commitment made as an employer under the Department of Health’s Autism Strategy (2023-2028), the Civil Service has launched a new Neurodiversity Line Manager's Toolkit.

    In launching the toolkit, Finance Minister Dr Caoimhe Archibald whose department has responsibility for the Civil Service workforce including its people polices and terms and conditions said, “I welcome the launch of this new resource during Autism Awareness Month. The Civil Service is committed to creating workplaces where everyone is treated with dignity and respect and feels able to participate and reach their full potential. The toolkit is a positive step in embedding an inclusive workplace culture where alternative thinking styles are embraced and celebrated”.
