    The Department of Finance carried out a public consultation from 14th August to 9th October 2020 on proposed amendments to The Building Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2012 (as amended) and associated guidance in Technical Booklets. The amendments reference the latest Radon Indicative Atlas and introduce a new fire safety requirement that in effect ‘bans’ the use of combustible materials in the external walls and specified attachments of certain high-rise buildings.
