    This equality screening document relates to amendments to the Regulations and a planned wider review. 

    The amendments will implement the following:

    • A two-stage uplift in the fees set out in Schedule 1 (Fees for one or more small domestic buildings), resulting in an increase of 17.5% from 1st April 2022 and a further increase from 1st April 2023 which would result in an overall increase of 35% on current levels.
    • The same two-stage uplift will apply to most of the types of activity in Schedule 2 (Fees for certain small buildings, extensions and alterations), with the exception of two categories, which will be reduced.

    The screening assessments identify that no Section 75 groups are adversely affected
