Policy screening – Amendments to Parts B and C of The Building Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2012

This equality screening document relates to amendments to legislation (coming into effect from 1st April 2022) to introduce a new regulation that in effect bans the use of combustible materials on the external walls and specified attachments of ‘relevant buildings’.  They also make reference to a revised indicative atlas of Radon Maps to be used to identify if a dwelling is located in a radon affected area. The screening assessments identify that no Section 75 groups are adversely affected.
