Land & Property Service (LPS) offers the facility to find out the Capital Value of your domestic property and the Net Annual Value (NAV) of your non domestic property for rating purposes.

Non domestic Net Annual Value (NAV) List

Non domestic property in Northern Ireland is assessed on the basis of its rental value known as the Net Annual Value (NAV). The NAV of your business property will determine the amount of rates you will have to pay.

You can use the links below to find the NAV of any non domestic property in Northern Ireland or to make an online application to have your property valuation revalued if it has been altered or if you think the valuation is wrong.

The Non domestic Valuation List on a map allows the user to look at the breakdown of the NAV. The breakdown gives the size, use and valuation for each separately valued part of a property, eg Ground Floor Office 55m2 @ £100/m2 = £5,500. The breakdown is currently only available for shops, offices, factories, warehouses and stores.

This will bring up the address and valuation of the property. Once you find your property you can use this service to apply for a valuation review.

More information on valuing new or existing property and how to appeal your valuation is available on the nibusinessinfo website.

    Domestic Capital Valuation List

All domestic property in Northern Ireland is assessed on the basis of its capital value in line with comparable properties in its locality.

A property is considered to be domestic if it is used for the purposes of a dwelling. Ancillary garages and stores used in conjunction with a dwelling will also be valued within the rateable value assessed for a domestic property.

The current valuation list for domestic properties became operative on 1 April 2007 and is based on capital values as at 1 January 2005.

You can use the link below to find the capital value of any domestic property in Northern Ireland or to make an online application to have your property revalued if it has been altered or if you think the valuation is wrong.
