The NICS Occupation Health Service (OHS) is recruiting for a number of key roles including medical officers, nursing staff and occupational health technicians, to join a multi-disciplinary team.

During a recent visit to the OHS’s purpose-built facilities in Belfast, Minister Archibald said: “I am delighted to announce the launch of this significant OHS recruitment campaign. The new roles will play an essential part in growing and transforming our Occupational Health and Wellbeing services to support our staff into the future.

“Our people, above everything else, are NICS’s most important asset and their health and wellbeing is a top priority. That’s why these new roles are so important as they will help ensure OHS is best placed to proactively prevent ill health and improve the individual health and wellbeing of all our people.

“Our vision is for the civil service to be a great place to work, where everyone can reach their full potential. Growing a modern OHS will help NICS deliver that vision.”

During the visit, the Minister met with a range of OHS staff to hear about the services they provide.

The Minister added: “OHS is recruiting medical officers, nursing staff and a brand-new role for us, Occupational Health Technicians which is a first for the NICS. These are strategic roles to the OHS and they demonstrate our commitment to making sure we continue to be responsive to the existing and emerging healthcare needs of the NICS and its client bodies across the public sector.”
