Occupational Health Service (OHS)
OHS provides occupational health and medical advice to NICS Departments, Civil Service Pensions, and other public service pension providers.
OHS is based in NICSHR headquarters in Bruce Street, Belfast. It is a multidisciplinary organisation consisting of Occupational Health Physicians, Occupational Health Nurse Specialists, Occupational Therapist and a team of support staff.
OHS provide professional advice and services on a wide spectrum of workplace health and wellbeing issues:
- Sickness Absence
- General Fitness
- Reasonable adjustments
- Ill Health Retirement
- Provision of Statutory Health Surveillance
- Input to NICS Policy
- Development and management of Health Promotion Initiatives
The OHS aim to provide a high quality service which enables our customers to promote and maintain health in the workplace. This includes the provision of the WELL programme and by co-ordinating health messages with our wellbeing partners, such as Inspire Workplaces, The Charity for Civil Servants, NICSHR Learning & Development and Welfare Support Service.
