  • Pan Government Collaborative Framework for Ground Investigation Works 2023

    This framework has been put in place by Construction & Procurement Delivery (CPD) for NI public sector organisations to access ground investigation works.

    Framework information

    Works envisaged under this agreement include, but are not limited to:

    • cable percussion boreholes
    • dynamic sampling boreholes
    • rotary drillholes with and without core recovery in both overburden and hard strata
    • sonic drillholes with core recovery
    • trial pits and trenches
    • sampling and monitoring during intrusive investigation
    • probing and cone penetration testing
    • utility GPR surveys
    • topographical surveys
    • in situ testing
    • groundwater and ground gas standpipes and post works monitoring
    • surveying exploratory hole locations
    • laboratory-based geotechnical testing of soils and groundwater for engineering purposes
    • laboratory-based environmental testing of soils, leachatesand groundwater
    • provision of full factual and interpretative reports
    • provision of preliminary risk assessments (PRA), generic quantitative risk assessments (GQRA), detailed quantitative risk assessments (DQRA), remediation strategies and verification reports as per procedures on the management of land contamination (CLR11)
    • procurement and management of specialist subcontractors

    The framework is divided into lots based on council areas:

    • Lot 1 - Northern Area (Causeway Coast & Glens; Mid & East Antrim; Antrim & Newtownabbey)
    • Lot 2 - Eastern Area (Belfast; Lisburn & Castlereagh)
    • Lot 3 - Western Area (Mid Ulster; Derry & Strabane; Fermanagh & Omagh)
    • Lot 4 - Southern Area (Armagh, Banbridge & Craigavon; Newry, Mourne & Down; North Down & Ards)
