On 26 March 2020, the NI Executive approved a business support grant in response to COVID-19 and the significant financial impact of the pandemic on businesses across Northern Ireland.

The Small Business Support Grant will provide £10,000 to small businesses who pay reduced business rates through Small Business Rate Relief (SBRR), subject to exclusions, to help mitigate the potential threat of business closures.

Businesses are eligible for this grant if they occupy a property in Northern Ireland, with a NAV value of £15,000 or below, and are in receipt of SBRR as of 15 March 2020.
