Information relating to Civil Service Pay.

    Real Living Wage

The NI Civil Service is an accredited Living Wage Foundation employer and is committed to ensuring that its pay arrangements continue to support payment of at least the voluntary real Living Wage. This commitment reflects our support for fair pay and its recognition of the importance of helping staff meet everyday living costs. The Real Living Wage is independently calculated by the Living Wage Foundation based on the cost of living and is different from the statutory National Living Wage set by the UK Government. The Living Wage Foundation reviews its rates annually. The Civil Service here considers these updated rates as part of its pay arrangements and will adjust pay rates, where necessary, to ensure it continues to meet the Living Wage Foundation rate within the implementation period specified by the Living Wage Foundation and maintains its accreditation as a Living Wage Foundation employer.
