Benenden Healthcare is a 'not for profit' Friendly Society run for its members and has been in existence for over 100 years. It is a mutual organisation, not a medical insurer and members club together so they can get the first class medical help they need when they need it most.

    How Benenden works

Benefits may vary according to the needs of the member, the resources available or over time.

The Society is run for its members; this means that every member can get involved and influence the way in which the Society is run and the services it offers.

The Society’s contractual business (the provision of tuberculosis benefit) is authorised by the FSA. The remainder of the Society’s business is undertaken on a discretionary basis. The Society is subject to FSA requirement for prudential management.

It is a 'not for profit' Friendly Society.
