Land & Property Services (LPS) collect, process and manage land and property information, which underpins the collection of rates, in support of the Executive's commitment to economic and social development in Northern Ireland.

Services provided by LPS

• Develops policy and legislation on behalf of the Finance Minister on rating and valuation, supporting the Executive's only devolved tax lever;
• Provides mapping expertise and specialist geospatial services through Ordnance Survey Northern Ireland (OSNI);
• Maintains Land Registers and deliver land information services to support conveyancing;
• Delivers property valuations, periodic revaluations and ongoing maintenance of valuation list;
• Collects rates that fund key public services delivered by central and local government.
• Administers domestic rate relief schemes to support citizens eligible for assistance.
• Administers business rate relief schemes to support non-domestic ratepayers.
• Provides valuation services across the public sector in support of Executive priorities.
• Delivers professional property advice and support for the strategic management of NICS and ALB land and property assets.
