Your Partial Retirement Review Application Regulation 62E - Public Service Pensions Remedy (McCloud)
The Department has made legislation which provides for certain partial retirement decisions to be reviewed.
Who will this apply to?
This will apply to members who took PCSPS(NI) partial retirement between 1 April 2015 and 31 March 2022 (the Remedy Period) and did not exercise a partial retirement option under alpha during their period of remediable service.
At the time, members could only bring into payment PCSPS(NI) benefits based on service accrued up to 31 March 2015. Eligible members may be able to apply to have their partial retirement decision reviewed if they believe they would have chosen to include their remediable service in the pension benefits brought into payment at partial retirement, had that service been available as PCSPS(NI) service at the time.
