Procurement policy and guidance

In Northern Ireland responsibility for public procurement policy lies with the Procurement Board, chaired by the Finance Minister. All policies agreed by the board must comply with EU legislation.

Construction & Procurement Delivery (CPD) supports the Procurement Board, liaising with the Cabinet Office on EU and legislative matters, helping in the development of new policies, and monitoring their implementation.

CPD develops detailed guidelines for organisations across the public sector in how to apply procurement policies in practice.
