  • Improving Land Registers NI update August 2023

This update provides more information on the procurement phase of the project.

    What’s happening

Following an initial selection process, invitations were issued in July 2022 to three bidders to submit proposals for a new digital Land Registration IT solution.

Over the last 12 months we have been engaged with the bidders in a series of discussions to consider the requirements which were developed during the discovery phase, and how these could be achieved.

We have been fully supported in these discussions by procurement, commercial and legal advisers.

These discussions have now completed, the list of requirements has been finalised, and the bidders have been invited to submit their final proposals.

    What’s next

The bidders final proposals will be evaluated by a panel of subject matter experts, from within the organisation and also our advisers, to identify the most suitable proposal.

It is anticipated that the new contract will be awarded to the successful bidder in early 2024. The project will then move into the next phase where we will work with the successful bidder to design, build and then implement the new solution.

We want to provide our customers and stakeholders with the opportunity to be involved in the design of the solution and, with that in mind, we will engage with you again post contract award prior to the commencement of the design phase.
