  • Note to Practitioners 25 November 2020 - Landweb Direct

    Topics:
    • Land registration,
    • The Land Registry

A new website to replace LandWeb Direct is currently being rolled out.

Land Registry has been contacting practice managers during November to arrange the move to the new website. If your practice has not been contacted by the Registry to arrange a date, you will be automatically directed to the new website from 1 December 2020 onwards. Accounts which have been inactive for two years and more will be closed and will not port over.

Users who have an outstanding debit/credit card balance on their account should be aware that this will need to be cleared using the old LandWeb Direct website before they are able to access the updated LandWeb Direct site.

The new website is built using the latest available technology and is compatible with all popular modern browsers. Some of the other features included are as follows:

    • The ability to use the site on modern mobile devices
    • Enhanced navigation
    • Dynamic mapping experience
    • The ability to top up suspense accounts with payment cards
    • Enhanced user reports

Solicitors who experience any issues, or who wish to change their setting preferences, may contact the LandWeb Direct team on 0300 200 7803 or by email to enquiries.landregistration@finance-ni.gov.uk.

Practitioners should ensure that a current and valid email address is associated with each user account. You can check this by logging into the current LandWeb Direct website and viewing/updating the details on the Accounts screen.
