The Pension Scheme Tax Reference (PSTR) for Northern Ireland Civil Service Pensions Schemes

The Pension Scheme Tax Reference (PSTR) is different for each scheme. If you are using Scheme Pays for both schemes, then you will need to inform HMRC of both PSTRs.

    • for the Principal Civil Service Pension Scheme (Northern Ireland), it is 00329686RF
    • for the alpha pension scheme, it is 00820865RA

Members affected by the 2015 Remedy may receive a Remedy Pension Savings Statement if they breached their Annual Allowance at any point within the Remedy Period (1 April 2015 - 31 March 2022) and/or 2022/23. The actions required for each statement differ. More information can be found on the Remedy PSS dedicated homepage.

We aim to issue both Pension Savings Statements and Remedy Pension Savings Statements (if applicable) by 6 October 2024 which is a legislative timeline given by HMRC.
