On the Office Estates side it provides the general office accommodation necessary for the NICS and related services. These include the construction, refurbishment, alteration and maintenance of offices, the supply of furniture and related services to the NICS and other public bodies, management and development of the Stormont Estate, landlord services to NICSSA, and the NICS Courier Service.
The Division is also instrumental in a major programme of change to centralise the management of central government’s office accommodation. This programme is supported by the Strategic Investment Board and is a key departmental priority
The Division is also responsible for the promotion of energy efficiency across the NI public sector, making Building and Energy Performance Regulations for NI, and managing the NICS Art Collection.
