Property Services Division (PSD)

Property Services Division provides a range of high quality, professional property and hard facilities management services to NICS departments and Arms Length Bodies.
The Division is made up of approximately 90 staff from various construction related disciplines, across the following branches.
- Multi-Disciplinary Team 1 including the Fire Safety Unit
- Multi-Disciplinary Team 2 including the Building Energy Management Unit
- Multi-Disciplinary Team 3 including the Asbestos Unit
- Planned Preventative Maintenance Supplies and Services
- Cost and Control Management and Administration
- Asset Management and Property Services (AMPS)
The PSD team provide the following key services to clients:
- Reactive maintenance – in excess of 31,000 work orders per annum;
- Planned preventative maintenance including statutory and cyclical maintenance - over 80,000 work tasks annually Remedial works as an outcome of audits/maintenance
- Contract & Project management of micro and small projects up to a value of £550M – 620+ projects on going simultaneously
- Fire safety services – fire risk assessments/fire investigations
- Building Management systems – 220 buildings with management systems
- Asbestos management – assisting clients with ‘duty to manage’ asbestos in their buildings
- Supplies and Stores - furniture, floor coverings, blinds
- Assistance with Heating, ventilation and air conditioning system queries
- Appointment of consultants and contractors through CPD procurement strategies
