You can view our latest progress at a glance as we continue distributing Immediate Choice Remediable Service Statements (RSSs). We are committed to keeping you updated and will refresh this information on a monthly basis to ensure you remain informed of ongoing progress.

Update as at end of May 2026

We are still in the process of preparing and sending Immediate Choice Remediable Service Statements (RSS) to members who retired before 1 October 2023, including those who partially retired, and are affected by the 2015 Remedy.

    Breakdown of Cohorts

There are approximately 10,000 pensioner members due to receive an Immediate Choice RSS.

The pie chart below shows how these members are split across different cohorts. We’ve also updated our approach to Ill Health Retirement cases, which are now separated to clearly identify those that include an Injury Benefit.

    How are we progressing?

Overview of Immediate Choice RSS Issued

Here you can see at a glance the overall percentage we have issued and those still remaining to receive their RSS packs. We continue to make steady progress as we move through the various cohorts. To date, 83% of Immediate Choice RSS packs have been issued.

    Ill-Health Retirements (excluding Injury Benefits)

We have successfully issued 94% of Immediate Choice RSSs for those affected pensioners who retired on ill-health grounds. To date, we have completed all cases that can be processed at this stage. The remaining cases are awaiting additional information from stakeholders or require member consent.

    Ill-Health (including Injury Benefits)

This cohort is more complex in nature. Work commenced in June 2025, and to date, 79% of cases have been issued.

    Partial Retirements

We have now successfully issued Immediate Choice RSSs to 99% of partial retirees affected by Remedy. We have processed all cases currently possible; the remaining cases are pending additional information from third parties.

    Voluntary Exit

The first RSS packs for individuals affected by Remedy who left under the Voluntary Exit Scheme were issued in May 2025. Since then, strong progress has been made, with 93% of Immediate Choice RSS packs now successfully issued.

    Deferred Members
