    Who the Department of Finance consults with regards to scheme regulations under the Public Service Pensions Act (Northern Ireland) 2014

    Current list of consultees:

    In accordance with the Public Service Pensions Act 2013, section 21(2), the Department of Finance is required to publish a statement indicating the persons that we would normally expect to consult under section 21(1) before making scheme regulations under that Act.
    Our current list of consultees is set out below.

    Northern Ireland Public Service Alliance (NIPSA)
    The Northern Ireland Section of the FDA - the union for managers and professionals in public service
    GMB Union
    The Prison Officers Association (POA) - The Professional Trade Union for Prison, Correctional and Public and Private Mental Health Trust Service Providers
    Unite
    The Civil Service Pensioners’ Alliance (CSPA) - when existing pensioner members appear likely to be affected by proposed regulations

    The Department may also notify other potentially interested parties of the launch of a consultation such as employers, Section 75 Equality Consultees, Members of the Legislative Assembly etc.
